The Colts CamPAIN of Sadness continues. Tank time. (Colts Steelers postgame short thoughts)

The single most disappointing Colts season I can remember in some time trudges on as the Indianapolis get beat at home by the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-17. While the Colts entered this season with high hopes, the play of the offense has continued to wear out the hopes of those supporting the Indianapolis squad. This embarrassing home loss just exemplifies this season as a whole. Slow … Continue reading The Colts CamPAIN of Sadness continues. Tank time. (Colts Steelers postgame short thoughts)

Notre Dame loses final regular season game 38-27 to Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans (short thoughts)

Well that game Saturday definitely didn’t go the way I had hoped. The Trojan run game was absolutely gouging the Irish defense and left little doubt in this one. The Fighting Irish’s highly touted offensive line and defensive lines both got outclassed. The Irish took the field against the Trojans and just didn’t bring near their best game in this one. The Notre Dame offense … Continue reading Notre Dame loses final regular season game 38-27 to Caleb Williams and the USC Trojans (short thoughts)

Purdue wins Big Ten West and wins the Old Oaken Bucket (Indiana Football short thoughts)

Indiana came out in this game looking great! Following a huge field goal hold stop by the Indiana defense, followed by an Indiana Touchdown on the legs of Jaylen Lucas. Following another Indiana stop, Dexter was rolling out and then went down untouched. A sight that no fan wants to see, but many fans know what it means. Tom Allen stated that it was not … Continue reading Purdue wins Big Ten West and wins the Old Oaken Bucket (Indiana Football short thoughts)

The Bucket Game: Give Me Something To Brag About! (Indiana-Purdue pregame thoughts)

The Old Oaken Bucket was first awarded in 1925. After Chicago based alumni of both Indiana and Purdue decided to establish a rivalry trophy in honor of sportsmanship or whatever. Both Alumni chapters met and drafted the following resolution to make said trophy: “an old oaken bucket as the most typical Hoosier form of trophy, that the bucket should be taken from some well in … Continue reading The Bucket Game: Give Me Something To Brag About! All stats say they should not have, but they did. Indiana Football wins the Brass Spittoon in East Lansing (Hoosiers-Spartans short thoughts)

The Spartans led the Hoosiers in the Battle for the Old Brass Spittoon in most categories. Total yards (540 to IU’s 288), Passing yards (298 to IU’s 31), first downs (29 to IU’s 11), and 3rd down efficiency (50% to IU’s 25%). The Spartans by all measure should have dominated this game. Notre Dame dominates Boston College, as they should, 44-0. (Fighting Irish short thoughts)

Heading into the Notre Dame Irish senior day, the Irish were tending to their wounds. Following just having scraped out the win in Navy, Notre Dame were disappointed with their showing in Annapolis and looked to correct the national perspective on the team. The team that almost gave Navy the game last week, was not going to come out flat like that against their Catholic … Continue reading Notre Dame dominates Boston College, as they should, 44-0. Jeff Saturday hoping to go 2-0 against the out-for-blood Eagles (Colts-Eagles NFL Week 11 short thoughts)

While plenty of the league and sports media were clowning the Colts for hiring Jeff Saturday, and one week later Josh McDaniels looks like a chump and this Colts fan has a new found confidence in the offensive line. Jeff has already displayed more emotion and animation than Frank Reich may have during his entire tenure. While I’m sure experts and other coaches are still … Continue reading Jeff Saturday hoping to go 2-0 against the out-for-blood Eagles (Colts-Eagles NFL Week 11 short thoughts)

Indiana Football facing Michigan State to play for an old spitter… (Indiana Football pregame short thoughts)

3-7 Indiana vs. 5-5 Michigan State. So while the Hoosiers don’t have much of anything but pride to play for, the Michigan State Spartans are very much looking to come out and continue their way towards a potential bowl appearance. With more to lose on the line, I expect the Spartans to come out of the gate and desperately look put it on the already … Continue reading Indiana Football facing Michigan State to play for an old spitter… (Indiana Football pregame short thoughts)
